A Helluva Guy

I've been wanting to take this photo for about a year now. Last year I saw these dazzling insects, flapping about the streams in Olympos and decided I just had to get a few shots. It's slightly soft, but photographing insects IS in a bit like fixing watches with a chainsaw. We saw these other blue ones, spiralling in and out of the sunlight like birds... We tore ourselves a new one chasing them, but I think they were onto us.
